Why is my Udemy promo code not working?
Match the message or cart result to these cases:
- “Sorry, this course is not included in this promotion” means the course is not participating in that Udemy promotion. The instructor may have opted out, or Udemy may not have included it in that campaign.
- “The coupon code entered is not valid for this course” can mean the code was not created for that exact course. Also confirm that you copied the coupon code rather than the `referralCode` value from a normal referral link.
- A previously working instructor code may have expired, reached its redemption limit, or been deactivated. Udemy cannot extend an expired promotion code.
- If Udemy accepts the code but the price does not change, check Promotions and hover over the coupon icon beside the course. If no code or reduced price appears, Udemy is offering the course at its standard price.
Can I stack Udemy promo codes with an existing course discount?
Udemy lets you enter multiple valid codes and applies them to eligible cart items, but an instructor coupon may set a Current best price, Custom price, or free enrolment instead of subtracting another percentage from the displayed promotional price. One instructor code may cover only one course while another applies to different eligible courses.
For example, if a course shows €19.99 and an instructor coupon sets its local price at €16.99, the final price is €16.99. Udemy does not subtract the code again from €19.99.

Why did my Udemy course price change when I signed in?
Udemy may target promotions by account, region, market, or prospective learner, so a lower logged-out price may not be available to your account. Sign in and review the course in your cart to see your current promotion or coupon price.
A mobile app price may also differ because Apple or Google uses its own price tiers.
Can I use a Udemy promo code in the mobile app?
No. Udemy does not support coupon entry in its mobile app because Apple App Store and Google Play systems process those purchases.
Open Udemy.com in a browser, sign in, apply the code, and complete the purchase there. The course will then appear in the Udemy app under the same account.
Can I use an instructor coupon for Udemy Personal Plan?
No. Instructor coupons apply to the instructor’s own courses and cannot reduce a Personal Plan subscription.
A Udemy promotion may apply automatically to an eligible subscription. Check the subscription checkout to see whether Udemy has attached one to your account. Udemy credits also cannot pay for Personal Plan.
Can I combine a Udemy promo code with Udemy credits?
Yes, for an eligible individual course purchased on Udemy.com. After the coupon establishes the course price, Udemy automatically applies available Udemy credits toward the purchase.
For example, if the coupon price is €30 and your account has €10 in credits, Udemy charges €20.
Credits do not work for Personal Plan or purchases processed through the iOS app or Google Play.
